Nintendo’s Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is a social sim mobile game from the popular Animal Crossing franchise. Initially released in 2017, the game is now revamped as Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, a paid offline version without any microtransactions, with an increase in pricing.

Acquiring Wood in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
In Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, you can invite various animals to your campsite through your map. These animals will reward you with the basic crafting materials upon completing their requests. Here is the tricky part: not all villagers (animals) can reward wood, because the crafting materials given by each villager vary based on their species. So, first, you need to know which animal species can distribute wood. The following animal species will give wood as a guaranteed reward:
- Frogs
- Squirrels
- Hamsters
- Rabbits
- Cats
- Chickens
- Alligators
Whenever you see any animal from the above species on your map, invite them to your campsite. Help them by completing their request to receive the crafting material (Wood). Wood can also be received as a gift from these animal species’ villagers. Moreover, completing the Timed Goals or Stretch Goals gives you wood. The crafting material can be found in the Shovelstrike Quarry and sometimes grabbed as a Log-In Bonus.
How To Use Wood in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
Now, we have wood, but what is its purpose in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp? As already mentioned, it is one of the basic crafting materials used for various crafting purposes. Moreover, this valuable resource is specifically used to craft various pieces of furniture.
You will unlock more villagers as you level up, and you need furniture to fulfill their requests. You can craft various items by accessing the Craft Option at the bottom of the screen.
How To Increase Friendship Level With Villagers in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
The amount of crafting items you receive depends on your friendship level with the villager. It varies as follows:
- Friendship Level below 9: 10 Crafting Material
- Friendship Level between 10-14: 20 Crafting Material
- Friendship Level above 15: Around 40 Crafting Material
The friendship level with a villager can be increased by selecting the red dialogue while talking with them. Returning the lost items to the villagers increases your friendship level along with rewarding crafting materials.
