Stamina is a core mechanic in Stalker 2 that you have to mind while out in the wild. Almost every move in the game requires stamina. It is the blue bar beneath your health bar on the bottom left of the HUD.

There aren’t many ways to conserve your stamina in the post-apocalyptic world of Stalker because you can only use your legs to reach your desired place. While fast travel is an option, you will still require stamina to climb objects, run when necessary, and fight enemies.

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase stamina in Stalker 2. You can’t invest in a skill tree to increase Skif’s lung capacity or have him do cardio exercises to reach your desired goals. Instead, you must know how to manage the inventory in the game.

While inventory in itself is a different mechanic, it is entirely intertwined with how stamina works, and mastering it is essential if you wish to last longer among the dangers of The Zone.

Each item that you pick up in The Zone will be sent right to your inventory. Similar items can be stacked up to a limit. However, it doesn’t make that big of a difference because, in the end, it’s the inventory weight that counts when it comes to your stamina.

Look at the inventory above. You will notice that some in-game artifacts increase your carry weight capacity. This is a useful mechanic for those who manage heavy loads all the time. But if you are somebody who likes to be agile while playing, it is not a good idea to push your inventory to its potential.

For those who have an 80kg capacity, we recommend keeping your weight under 50kg. This 30kg difference would allow Skif to be more agile while also carrying enough equipment around.

You can also take the help of the visual aid below. Keep the bar in the Green region. Yellow is fine as long as you intend to drop some item(s) soon. Try not to let it get to Red, though.

Moreover, you can also aid your stamina regen by consuming water and/or energy drinks. Water gives you small stamina regen and primarily helps your hunger bar. Energy drinks, on the other hand, may make Skif more hungry but greatly improve stamina regen.
