How To Get the Fixer’s Note in Archived
The Fixer’s Note is the key to starting Mang progression. Here’s how to obtain it:
- Overconfident Fixer Spawn – Appears about 20 minutes into a new server. Defeat him to claim the Fixer’s Note.
- Traveling Corner NPC – This merchant appears every 20 minutes at random locations (including behind Sentenza). The Fixer’s Note usually costs 500k–1M currency.
Important Tip: Use the Fixer’s Note as soon as you get it. If you die before using it, you’ll lose it. But once used, your progress is saved even if you die later.
How To Unlock Mang
After obtaining the Fixer’s Note, there are two main methods to activate Mang:
- Witness a Teammate’s Death
- Go into a PD (Public Dungeon) or the Library and watch a teammate get gripped.
- This guarantees activation, but you can use a fresh alt slot for your teammate to avoid wiping their main progress.
- Bell Check Method
- Let a teammate bring you down to 50% or 25% HP.
- In permadev servers, the chance of activating Mang is nearly 100%.
- Once successful, you’ll unlock your first Mang ring.
How To Progress and Level Up Mang
Unlocking Mang is just the beginning. To level it up and earn all five rings, you need to progress systematically:
- Quests – Completing side quests, such as the cooking quest or barber quest, gives +10 levels each.
- Dungeons – Each dungeon grants +1 level, except the Imperitas (Max Library) dungeon, which gives +5 levels.
- Max Level – At Level 200, you’ll unlock the full set of five Mang rings.
Progression Rules:
- Dying is fine, but wiping resets progress.
- Only quests (not contracts) count for progression.

Shin Level and Mang Rings Explained
Shin Level and Mang Rings progress separately but complement each other:
- Shin Level – Increases damage amplification, reduces the stacks needed to trigger Mang, and boosts defensive scaling. Max Shin Level allows activation with as few as 10 stacks instead of 50.
- Mang Rings – Gained through progression (quests, dungeons, Fixer’s Notes). Each ring boosts your power and survivability, with five rings available at max level.

- Use permadev servers for higher Mang activation chances.
- Focus on quests first for big level jumps (+10).
- Always clear the Library dungeon carefully to avoid wiping teammates.
