Everything you need to know about Maelle’s most overpowered build in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, and how you can one-shot bosses using it.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33, much like any other RPG, offers a large assortment of weapons and build configurations. While the build-crafting in Expedition 33 is fairly straightforward, there are still plenty of moving parts that you need to be mindful of. From Pictos to character skills to even the active party members, there’s a ton of technicality involved in the build crafting of the game, especially in the endgame. And, with the right combination of elements, you can come up with some really whacky builds that not only dish out a ton of damage, but can also practically one-shot bosses. With Maelle, you can craft a build that can do just that, and basically one-shot even the toughest endgame bosses.
Here’s everything you need to know about the overpowered Maelle build and how to use it to one-shot bosses in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
Overview of Maelle’s One-Shot Build in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

For the one-shot build, we’re focusing on two key aspects – damage and skills. Essentially, with the build, the target is to deal as much damage as possible in just one or two turns. It’s not technically a “glass canon” build; however, you will have to drop Maelle’s HP to 1, which will leave her vulnerable to lethal damage if the enemy (boss) gets a turn. However, with this build, bosses won’t even get the chance to land a hit. We’re going to maximize both Maelle’s damage as well as the number of turns you get to play before the enemy. The weapon of choice is Medalum, which shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering it’s arguably the best weapon for Maelle.
For skills, we’re focusing on just two – Last Chance and Stendhal. That being said, this build is meant for endgame, and you won’t be able to craft it before reaching Act 3. Let’s take an in-depth look at the build and the Luminas we’re going to use.

How To Use Maelle’s One-Shot Build?

Using the one-shot build is quite easy. You essentially have to start your turn as Maelle by casting Stendhal or Phantom Strike (in case of multiple enemies). After that, use Last Chance to trigger both Shortcut and Glass Canon. Follow Last Chance with another Stendhal or Phantom Strike to annihilate bosses before they even get a chance to do anything.
