Learn how to play cooperatively in Stardew Valley on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

Stardew Valley is a cozy farming RPG that features a variety of multiplayer options to make the game even livelier with the company of friends. You can start a Co-op world or convert an existing single-player world into co-op. Friends can join the world as farmhands through LAN, split-screen, and online platforms. Up to 8 players can join on PC, while other devices are limited to 4 players at a time. The host player can access the world at any time, but the farmhands can only play when the host is online. Unfortunately, there is no cross-platform support for Stardew Valley’s multiplayer.

Mobile
Stardew Valley technically has multiplayer options for Android and IOS devices, but they aren’t fully implemented yet. We do not recommend playing multiplayer on Android or IOS until a future update introduces full support. This is because the experimental mode available currently can corrupt your save file. To try the experimental multiplayer on mobile devices, follow the official instructions provided here.
