The Duchess is not unlocked at the start of the game, unlike the other units. Instead, you must first defeat Gladius and get a unique relic from it. You can use this relic to then unlock this character. The Duchess’ passive ability, Magnificent Poise, lets her dodge in a way that is unique to her. You can also dodge repeatedly when the situation calls for it.

Meanwhile, the skill is also highly useful. Restage allows you to repeat the last few seconds of damage on the enemy. This allows you to essentially deal double damage to the enemy. Lastly, the Ultimate Arts, Finale, hides you and your team from the enemy under a guise of invisibility. This allows you to position yourself better or catch a moment of respite in the heat of battle.

Mastering this character will require finesse and proper knowledge. Here are some tips for the same:

  • You should use her Restage skill at the right time. Using it right after other characters have used their Ultimate Arts to deal heavy damage can be crippling to enemies.
  • If the enemy turns their aggression on you, using Finale can be very useful. You can let the boss turn their aggression back to another melee unit. Otherwise, if you see your teammates getting low on health, using this Ultimate Art can let them catch their breath.
  • Using weapons that inflict bleed or poison build-up are very good with the Duchess because she can deal a lot of hits in quick succession. On top of this, the Restage skill also applies build-up again from any previous hits.
  • Lastly, using Finale before Restage will let your team get into position to cast their Ultimate Arts. Following this, you can use your skill to deal this huge damage all over again.

That was everything to know about the Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign, so you can use her at full efficiency.
