In this article, we will explore various reasons why Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War might be crashing on your PC.
Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War is a remake of the original 2006 title. Even though the game features improved graphics and much smoother gameplay, unfortunately, gamers are experiencing multiple performance issues while running the game. Many gamers are experiencing crashes at startup or even during the game because their CPUs do not have AVX support. Most CPUs manufactured before 2011 are the ones that will encounter this issue. A workaround for this can be to launch the game with the launch option -nomovies.
Another reason why the game can crash is if you do not find a game match for more than 20 minutes. This can be avoided by canceling automatching after a few minutes and retrying again. If you are facing loading screen crashes, this can be due to a minor mistake you are making. At the time of writing, if you keep clicking while on the loading screen, the game might crash. Keeping weapons near the map’s edge or in a place that has a lot of buildings around it also seems to crash the game at times. This is another thing you should keep in consideration and avoid at all times. The last cause that we could find was having multiple monitor setups. The game does not seem to understand what your primary display is. For now, it will be in your best interest not to use a multiple monitor setup while playing Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War Definitive Edition.
