The upcoming first-person shooting title Borderlands 4 has been one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. Fans of the franchise will be delighted to know that the game is finally available to preload on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. If you have pre-ordered the game already and can’t wait to start playing, make sure to preload it so you can jump in as soon as it releases. While the game is confirmed to release on Switch 2 as well, it will not arrive until October. However, players can still pre-order it now.

The download size of Borderlands 4 will be 65 GB for PC, 28.1 GB for PlayStation 5, and 29.5 GB for Xbox Series X/S consoles. While the preload has already kicked off, if you are unable to download it yet, wait a few hours. Also, note that the game will receive a day-one patch, so you will need to update it once it goes live.
