Ways To Revive Party Members in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
You can revive your fallen allies/party members in several ways, each with its own pros and cons. Let’s discuss all reviving options and how you can do that in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
Using Zin and Zing Spells
If you lost a party member during a tough battle, you can use Zin, Zing, and Kazing spells to revive them. A fallen party member can’t participate in battle unless they are revived during the fight. Using these spells can consume one turn during the battle. These resurrection spells can be learned by characters with Priest and Sage vocations. Here is how Zin, Zing, and Kazing work:
- Zin – A small chance to resurrect a fallen ally with 1 HP (consumes 5 MP)
- Zing – Higher chance to resurrect a fallen ally with half-health (consumes 10 MP)
- Kazing – Greater chance to resurrect a fallen ally with full health (consumes 20 MP)
Although Zin is used for resurrecting purposes alone, the upgraded versions, Zing and Kazing, act for both resurrecting and healing purposes.
Revive an ally with Zin and rest at a nearby Inn to recover full health and MP. This would be a good strategy if you are considering saving some of your money.
Using Yggdrasil Leaf
Next, we have Yggdrasil Leaf, the best source to revive party members during a tough fight. It can revive a fallen ally with full health and MP during battle. However, despite its incredible benefits, obtaining a Yggdrasil Leaf is not an easy task.
The extremely rare item will not be available for purchase at the stores. It can be only found in chests and rarely obtained from enemies. Use the item only when it is necessary.
Resurrecting at Church
Apart from using resurrection spells and items during battle, you can also take your fallen alley to a Church to revive them. Churches in Dragon Quest 3 serve several purposes, and resurrection is one of them. You can find Churches on the map as a trident-like icon. You can fast-travel to the nearby town to find a Church there.
Most towns in the Dragon Quest 3 Remake have Churches. Choose the Resurrection option to revive a fallen party member. However, it is not a free service and requires several golds. The amount of gold required to revive a party member in the Church depends on the character’s vocation and level.
More gold coins will be required to resurrect your party members as you level up. Look for a Priest somewhere if you can’t find a Church in the town, as they can also perform the resurrection process. Reviving at Church should be the best option for those who don’t have any resurrecting items or spells.
