Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War features an option where enemies can make their troops invisible when attacking you. If you are not prepared for this and do not know how to counter these enemies, you might find yourself in huge trouble. However, there are ways to spot these units and protect yourself. In this article, we will explore how to do so effectively in Dawn of War Definitive Edition.

While there are ways to turn invisible when attacking, there are also many detector units and abilities that you can use in the game. Every faction in Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War comes with revealing abilities. You have multiple detectors available to know the exact location of the hiding troops. Apart from that, using grenades in situations where your instinct tells you that there is a hidden enemy nearby is a great option. This will eliminate the risk even without knowing the enemy’s exact location.

You can also use detector units of other troops to spot invisible enemies when rushing. However, do note that these detectors can not handle much damage, so you need to protect them at all costs. Finding hidden enemies in a real-time strategy title like Dawn of War is essential to make sure you can counter the stealth-focusing units properly. Make sure to have at least one detector before jumping into battle.

That said, mentioned below are all the detectors from various factions:

  • Space Marines: Skull Probe and Librarian Hero.
  • Imperial Guard: Sanctioned Psyker and Scan ability from HQ.
  • Eldar: Warlocks in Guardian squads and Harlequin.
  • Chaos: Cultists, Chaos Sorcerer Hero, Chaos Lord, and Daemon Prince.
  • Orks: Warboss Hero, Big Mek Hero, and Mega Armoured Nobz.
  • Necrons: Builder Scarabs, Wraiths, and Necron Lord with Solar Pulse ability.
  • Tau: Vespids, Pathfinders, and Ethereal Hero.
  • Dark Eldar: Haemonculus Hero, Wyches, and Piercing Vision ability.
  • Sisters of Battle: Missionary, Confessor, Assassin Unit, and Avenging Angels from Canoness Ascension ability.
