You can use fast travel in Metaphor Refantazio using two methods – the Map and the Gauntlet Runner. Let’s see how both work:
Using Gauntlet Runner
Fast travel in Metaphor Refantazio is not available for the first few weeks. You can unlock the Gauntlet Runner after a couple of weeks of the playthrough and then fast travel with it on June 29.
Players are unexpectedly transported to the Gauntlet Runner’s Engine Room on the afternoon of June 28 to speak with Neuras. The protagonist seems to react strangely to a mysterious part of the ship during this encounter and is eventually sent back to bed. Congrats! You have unlocked the most useful feature of the game, fast travel.
Once unlocked, you can trial-check the feature by teleporting to Martira and traveling again to Grand Trad, as Martira and Grand Trad are the only locations available at the time. You will add more fast travel points during further gameplay.
Use the Gauntlet Runner anytime to fast travel again without any limitations.
Using Map
You will have to visit the Gauntlet Runner every time you wish to fast travel unless you learn to use it with the help of your map. Access your map, and it will show the activities and the positions of your followers. Here is how to fast-travel using the map:
- Open the mini-map, which displays all the available locations.
- You can find the different areas using the list on the right.
- Choose the desired one.
- Confirm by clicking on it, and you will teleport immediately.
Remember that you can only fast travel to locations that you have already visited.
