Everything you need to know about the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign, including its combat abilities and how to unlock the Nightfarer.

The Revenant is easily the most interesting Nightfarer out of all the eight starting options in Elden Ring Nightreign. Unlike other Nightfarers, the Revenant doesn’t use direct attacks as its primary means of dealing damage to enemies. Instead, she employs a very unique approach to combat. Essentially, the Revenant summons her familiars to help her defeat her enemies. It’s a class that is basically a necromancer, albeit with some additional perks. If used correctly, the Revenant can easily defeat bosses in the blink of an eye. Furthermore, the Nightfarer also has access to an ability that allows her to make herself, as well as her allies, immortal for a short duration.
Naturally, it’s a pretty powerful starting option. However, unlike some of the other Nightfarers, the Revenant isn’t available to you right from the start. Instead, you need to complete a dedicated side-quest to unlock this Nightfarer. Here’s everything you need to know about the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign and how to unlock it.
Where To Find the Revenant in Elden Ring Nightreign

Revenant isn’t available to interact with until you’ve made a good amount of progress through the initial part of Elden Ring Nightreign’s story. Essentially, you need to have defeated the first major boss, Gladius, Beast of Night, to even interact with the Revenant in the first place. The Revenant is a spectre who only shows up after you have revealed the true identity of the maiden in the Roundtable Hold. Basically, the Revenant used to be a doll belonging to the daughter of an aristocratic family that perished under mysterious circumstances. The doll is eventually possessed by the spirit of the daughter herself, who vows vengeance against those who wronged her family.
The Revenant can summon three members of her family, each with their own unique combat type. Unlike other classes in Nightreign, the Revenant is a passive character who is best used to distract enemies through her summons.
How To Unlock the Revenant
To get access to the Revenant, you first need to unlock the Duchess. Essentially, you need to defeat the first Nightlord, Gladius, Beast of Night, and obtain the Old Pocketwatch. After that, take the Old Pocketwatch to the maiden in the Roundtable Hold, who will then reveal herself to be the Duchess. Once you have unlocked the Duchess, simply head to the Small Jar Bazaar and purchase the Besmirched Frame Relic. With the Besmirched Frame in your possession, head to the eastern wing of the Roundtable Hold. You will find the spirit of the Revenant near the walls. Simply interact with the Revenant’s spirit to get teleported to the tutorial area.
Next, you need to defeat the Revenant (Night Idol) and her family (summons). After defeating the Night Idol, you will unlock the Revenant and can switch to the Nightfarer using the Banished Knight statue near the Roundtable.
Revenant’s Abilities and Passives

The Revenant’s passive ability, Necromancy, allows her to summon spirits of killed enemies as allies, for a short duration. This ability is extended to the bosses as well, in case you face multiple of them at once. It’s a great option to not only dish out damage but also distract enemies long enough for other teammates to perform their combos or Ultimate Arts. The Revenant’s Character Skill is Summon Spirit, which allows her to summon her fallen family, one at a time. This skill does not have a cooldown. However, you’re limited to summoning only one familiar at a time. Additionally, once a familiar spirit dies, you cannot summon it immediately.
Lastly, the Revenant’s Ultimate Arts is Immortal March, which makes her and the allies immortal for 15 seconds. This ability also immediately revives any fallen teammates and also extends immortality to the familiar spirits. However, it should be noted that the Immortal March is on a significantly longer cooldown once it’s used.
