Umamusume is a management simulator that is all about training your horse girls and sending them out to race. There are various game modes throughout the game where you get to showcase your skills. These include Career Mode, race trials, events, and many more. Most of these, including Career Mode, however, are fueled by energy bars.

TP in Umamusume Pretty Derby is what you use to play Career Mode. This is where you truly level up your characters, raise them through the ranks, and get them ready to compete with other online players. Each Career playthrough will cost you a total of 30 TP. With a total meter of 100 points, you can play up to three Career Modes before running out of TP.
TP automatically refills by a single point every 10 minutes, requiring five hours to fully recharge enough to play a new Career Mode. You also have the option to manually refill your Toughness Points. You can do this by clicking on the “+” icon beside the TP at the top of the screen and selecting an item from your inventory. Additionally, you can open your inventory and choose an item to use for the same purpose.
