The Counterstrike is the eighteenth mission in Chapter 4 of Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment. You face the Archfiend Grimgohma here, a huge creature that tests your patience and skill. Right from the start, you deal with a mix of powerful bosses like the Fire Boss Bokoblin, Stone Talus, and Fire Lynel. Each of them pushes you to change tactics and stay alert.
The recommended level for this mission is 37, which gives you an idea of how serious the fight gets. Midway through the stage, Zelda joins your party and helps balance the chaos on the field. That moment changes how you approach the remaining battles and adds more coordination to your strategy.
How To Complete The Counterstrike Quest in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment
The mission begins with a Fire Boss Bokoblin standing right in front of you. If you sneak up and land a stealth strike, you take it out instantly and earn a bonus reward later. It is an easy way to start strong.
Next, move west to find a Stone Talus waiting inside an outpost. Defeat it to clear that area and push forward. Once that is done, split your team to handle two objectives at once. Send one unit north while you head south to secure another outpost. After this, head for the Black Hinox. Be careful since explosive rocks rain down while you fight. Keep moving and strike when it drops its guard.
Once you defeat Hinox, Zelda joins your group. Use her to capture the outposts in the east and southeast while you take care of a Black Boss Bokoblin nearby. After you clear those spots, move toward the southeast corner of the map. A Fire Lynel blocks your path here. When it falls, the route to Grimgohma opens up.
The fight against Grimgohma has two parts. In the first phase, throw Bombs and Batteries to break its outer shell. Once that cracks, use a strong attack to bring down its health. The second phase gets trickier. Grimgohma throws massive rocks across the arena, and your goal is to hit the non-glowing ones back at it. The glowing ones explode, so avoid them. Keep reflecting rocks until you expose its weak point again, then finish the fight.

Finishing The Counterstrike rewards you with 300 Rupees, experience points, and the chance to collect equipment and Korok Seeds. It is a solid payout for a challenging mission.
