Ramsey Khalid Ismael, who goes by Johnny Somali, said that he seeks vengeance against Japan after he was returned to the United States by government officials in 2024. The streamer spent several months disrupting locals in Japan in 2023 and was found guilty of obstructing businesses by a local Japanese court in January 2024.

The streamer tore down the Japanese Rising Sun flag and said he was returning soon for “revenge.” He also claimed that he joined a new streaming group of “nuisance streamers” called “Cx.” Johnny Somali accused fellow content creator Paul “Ice Poseidon” Denino of forming the group.

Johnny also called out Twitch streamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo, who is currently in Japan. Somali said that he is the leader of OTK (One True King) and needs to be arrested. None of the streamers Somali mentioned claimed to be part of the Cx streamer group.

Johnny Somali Sends a “Message” to Japan

On February 16, 2025, Johnny Somali posted a video saying he wanted “vengeance” on Japan for his arrest and deportation. The streamer said:

“Hello to the people of Japan and the people of the world. I wanna make this message because I’ve been gone for a long time. Let me introduce myself. I am Johnny Somali and I am part of the Criminal Nuisance Livestreamer Gang” called Cx. I am a high-ranking member and a black sheep of the family. We are run by our top leader Ice Poseidon. He is the leader of Cx and Mizkif the leader of OTK. We are part of a livestreaming international criminal mafia of nuisance streamers.”

The streamer said that the goal of the Cx group is to bring “freedom and American values” to Japan. He called the Japanese people “weak” and incapable of stopping him. He added:

“Remember how there were two atomic bombs? Remember how there was Hiroshima and Nagasaki? I am the Little Boy. They are the Fat Man. They came to bring revenge.”

The streamer asked Japan to arrest Mizkif and Ice Poseidon. He also named other streamers who are alleged members of the Cx group.

Somali’s Controversies in Japan Explored

Johnny Somali made multiple anti-Japan comments towards the local citizens. In a viral clip, he taunted locals, claiming that Japan deserved the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He also threatened to bomb Japan with nuclear weapons on a public train.

In June 2023, he traveled to the Tokyo Disney Resort and played a song with the lyrics “atomic bomb”. He kept playing the song near locals to record their reactions. In August 2023, he joked about the Fukushima nuclear accident at a construction site. Japanese police arrested them over suspicions of trespassing but they released the streamer.

Johnny Somali stayed in Japan until the end of 2023. The Osaka District Court fined him ¥200,000 ($1,320) twice after finding him guilty of “obstruction of business” in multiple lawsuits. United States officials requested Japanese authorities to return Somali. Japanese officials agreed and sent him back to the US. Since his return from Japan, he opted to use the video calling app Zoom to troll Japanese people by disrupting their days.
