There were early leaks that indicated the developers’ plans to include Leech in the first game of the series. However, the insect failed to make it to both Grounded 1 and Grounded 2. Drawing inspiration from their usual mechanics, where they are known for drawing blood, Leech would have been an interesting addition. It could have been a crucial resource for crafting healing items.

Since most gameplay of Grounded 2 is set in the park, a Grasshopper could be an insect that would have blended into the environment. In addition to the Cockroaches and Spiders, the challenge to defeat a Grasshopper would be an interesting one, as it would fly away every time you approach it. The game could use its resources as an ingredient to craft special jumping items.

Although Grounded 2 features plenty of insects that chase you down when you get too close, being pursued by a Dung Beetle would be something special, especially for fans of Indiana Jones. Just imagine the scene where you are trying to outrun a giant rolling dung ball.

If Dung Beetles were in the game, they could serve as a boss enemy similar to the Cockroach Queen. They might even use a special liquid spit attack to fight players. Dung Beetles are easily among the top insects we want to see in Grounded 2.

Out of all the insects in the game, the presence of a Dragonfly would be unique because of its ability to fly close to the ground. Therefore, it could have been another type of Buggy that you can ride in the game, apart from the Red Ant and Orb Weaver. In addition, the mechanism to farm Dragonfly in the game to craft Armors would also have been a worthy addition.
