The Intel Arc B570 and Arc A750 are two budget GPUs for 1080p gaming, but which is the better GPU? Which one should you buy?

Many users are still confused between the Intel Arc B570 and Arc A750 as the budget gaming GPU market is quite convoluted, even within Intel’s own products. The former is a 500-class GPU, while the latter is a 700-class. Therefore, you would assume the Arc B570 would be the better choice, but the Arc B570 has more memory. This begs the question: Which is better for budget 1080p gaming? That’s exactly what we plan to answer in this article with a detailed comparison of the two GPUs. Read on to learn more.

Intel Arc B570 vs Arc A750: Detailed Comparison

The Intel Arc B570 is designed on the latest Battlemage architecture, which is why the model number starts with B. On the other hand, the Arc A750 is based on the older Alchemist architecture, so it starts with A.
The newer architecture is better, so the Arc B570 should be better. However, it is also a lower-class GPU. Will the performance benefits from the newer architecture be enough for this lower-class card to beat the higher-class Arc A750? Let’s find out in this detailed comparison.
Specs Comparison
These are the specs of the Intel Arc B570 and Arc A750:
Specifications | Intel Arc B570 | Intel Arc A750 |
---|---|---|
Architecture | Battlemage | Alchemist |
Shader cores | 2304 | 3584 |
RT cores | 18 | 28 |
TMUs | 144 | 224 |
ROPs | 80 | 112 |
Base core clock speeds | 2500 MHz | 2050 MHz |
Boost core clock speeds | 2500 MHz | 2400 MHz |
Memory capacity | 10GB GDDR6 | 8GB GDDR6 |
Memory bus width | 160-bit | 256-bit |
Memory bandwidth | 380 GB/s | 512.0 GB/s |
Manufacturing node | 5nm | 6nm |
Thermal design power (TDPs) | 150W | 225W |
As usual, the Intel Arc A750 has more shader cores, RT cores, TMUs, ROPs, and memory bandwidth than the Intel Arc B570. This is to be expected as the former is a higher 700-class graphics card. However, the latter has 10GB VRAM, which should help in games that need more memory.
Performance Comparison
Here’s how the Intel Arc B570 and Arc A750 perform in some popular games:
Games | Intel Arc B570 | Intel Arc A750 |
---|---|---|
Shadow of the Tomb Raider | 109 FPS | 87 FPS |
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart | 74 FPS | 59 FPS |
The Last of Us: Part 1 | 66 FPS | 44 FPS |
God of War Ragnarok | 89 FPS | 82 FPS |
Alan Wake 2 | 66 FPS | 56 FPS |
Stalker 2 | 46 FPS | 35 FPS |
Cyberpunk 2077 | 75 FPS | 64 FPS |
The Witcher 3 Next Gen | 87 FPS | 80 FPS |
Doom Eternal | 128 FPS | 98 FPS |
Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (RT) | 80 FPS | 89 FPS |
Note: The two GPUs tested here were evaluated at a 1080p resolution with High/Ultra Settings, unless otherwise specified. All the FPS numbers were sourced from the Intel Arc Testing channel on YouTube. For the tests, the two graphics cards were paired with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU.
On average, the Intel Arc B570 delivered 18.1% more FPS than the Arc A750. The former also has more VRAM, which helped in games like The Last of Us: Part 1, where it performed significantly higher than the latter. However, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition is purely a ray tracing game, where the Arc B570 scores more, despite having fewer RT cores. This shows a decent performance difference between the two cards in ray tracing.
Price Comparison

The Intel Arc B570 is currently selling for $249.99 on Amazon, but it goes down to $229 or $239 sometimes. On the other hand, the Intel Arc A750 is available for $199.99 on Amazon. Therefore, the new GPU is 25% more expensive than the old one.
Final Verdict on Intel Arc B570 vs Arc A750
The Intel Arc B570 delivers around 18% more FPS than the Arc A750 on average in many popular games. Therefore, the former is the better GPU. The Arc B570 also has 2GB more VRAM, which future-proofs it. However, it is also 25% more expensive. Given its higher performance and more memory, we recommend buying the new Intel card over the other.
Besides, if you are lucky, you can find the Arc B570 for around $229 or $239 sometimes, which is a significantly better deal. Only users on a really tight budget can consider buying the Arc A750, but we don’t recommend it due to its abysmal performance in many UE5 games, and it also tends to have more driver issues.
