Unfortunately, you cannot get a cat in Inzoi, but there are other ways to add animals to your world to make it more lively.

Inzoi is a hot new life simulation game that is making waves on Steam in early access. After years of waiting for a new, truly next-gen entry in the genre, Inzoi is finally here to scratch the social-sim itch. The game allows you to create your own characters, putting you in charge of their hobbies, traits, motivations, relationships, and more.
Relationships are a fully fleshed-out facet, allowing you to befriend several other Zois in-game. With so much emphasis on friendship and companionship, you may wonder if Inzoi lets you befriend the man’s best friend, or perhaps a cat, or maybe another animal. Cats, especially, have been heavily involved in the game’s marketing. Several promotional posters feature cats, and Inzoi goes as far as to have a cat staring right at you every time you start up the game and load into the main menu.
If Inzoi’s marketing and main menu have led you to believe that you can get a cat in-game, we may have some bad news. Inzoi does not have pets in the game, so you cannot get a cat as a pet at this point. It’s not all doom and gloom, however, as Inzoi is still very much in early access.
Inzoi Director Hyungjun ‘Kjun’ Kim shared a wishlist of features that the development team plans to add to the game during its lifespan, stating that “pet-related features are in the plans.” He went on to say that fans can expect these features to arrive after the game exits early access.

As stated earlier, you cannot get a cat or any other animal to keep as a pet. The game, however, allows you to meddle with the world and add animals using the city editor. While you do not get to keep them as pets, you still get to see them roam about the beautiful world. Follow the steps below to add animals to your game:
- Press the ‘M‘ key to bring up the City Editor option in the game.
- Scroll over to the ‘City Appearance’ tab and click on the ‘Animals’ option.
- Select up to three species to add to your world. These species include cats, dogs, deer, pandas, crocodiles, raccoons, squirrels, and foxes.
Once done, these animals will show up in your world. You cannot interact with them, but seeing them go out and about in the wild is a joy nonetheless.
