Just like you would expect from a good life-sim game, InZOI lets players go fishing! If you like to explore all aspects of a game or enjoy fishing in general, you will appreciate this part of InZOI. However, because the game is a “sim”, it doesn’t directly give you an elaborate tutorial on where and how to fish. Even after you are done fishing, you may not have any idea what to do. Let us help you out.

Going Fishing in InZOI

Fishing in InZOI is as easy as simply walking up to a fishing spot. Find tackle boxes and interact with them to find two types of options. You can either select Go Fishing or Fish with Advanced Bait. The former option lets you fish for free while the latter requires you to spend 5 Meows to use better bait. This is only relevant if you wish to catch a bigger and better fish than your usual catches. You won’t always fish, of course. Players might get inanimate items like dolls while fishing.

The good part about this activity is that at the time of writing, your Zoi doesn’t need to have a skill related to fishing. So, if you are struggling to catch better fish, you may want to fish using Advanced Bait because that’s the only way to up your game for now. This also makes things a bit more fair for those who don’t have fishing traits.

If you want to go fishing, note the following spots in the game:

  • Harang River Park (East) Dowon
  • Harang River Park (West) – Dowon
  • Sunset Bay – Bliss Bay
  • North Beach – Bliss Bay

Using the Caught Fish in InZOI

Since the game is still adding new features, there is only so much you can do with the fish you have caught. You can always sell the fish you caught using your Zoi. Enter Build Mode, tag, and place the caught fish on the counter. The item on display will automatically sell itself after waiting for a while.

Another option is to create a Fish Fillet. You can either do it right after catching a fish or by bringing them out of your bag later on. Since every fish cannot be filleted, your options may be slim. If your Zoi has reached Cooking Skill Level 3, they can also use the Fish Fillet as an ingredient to cook Sushi.

So far, we have found the following fish in the game:

  • Swordfish (Fillet)
  • Shark (Fillet)
  • Butterflyfish (No Fillet)
  • Archer Fish (No Fillet)
  • Carp (Fillet)
  • Painted Sweetlips (Fillet)
  • Banded Butterflyfish (Fillet)
  • Cobia (Fillet)
