The title has generated a lot of attention since its announcement by the developers who made The Finals. Why Is Arc Raiders Not Free-To-Play?
To reiterate, unfortunately, no, Arc Raiders is not a Free-To-Play title, and gamers will have to purchase it in order to experience it. As of now, the title is available to purchase across PC (Steam and Epic Games), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It has a release date of October 30, 2025.
Furthermore, reports have stated that the developers decided to move away from the original free-to-play model because the initial thought was that the game is better as a premium product rather than a free one. Nevertheless, some players had the opportunity to play Arc Raiders for free during the last Server Slam playtest.
One of the main reasons for this was game balance and the exclusion of heavy in-game monetization. However, Arc Raiders still features a battle pass and cosmetics that you can buy. But according to reports, there won’t be any items that are exclusive to battlepass holders. If all of that sounds good to you, then you can jump into the game right now. For the residents of the United States, the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition cost $39.99 and $59.99, respectively.
