Dragon Age: The Veilguard is only hours away from its global release. Check whether it is verified for your Steam Deck yet.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is almost here and opens the next chapter in the Dragon Age franchise. Another major event is cooking up in Thedas and players on PC, Xbox X/S, and Playstation 5 can enjoy it. But what about the ones who would like to play the game on the move on their Steam Deck?
If you didn’t already know, not all games are optimized for the Steam Deck. Those that come under the Verified or Great For Deck tab are the only ones that won’t have significant issues on the handheld device, and if you were looking to play the game on your deck, we have got great news for you.
The game’s official announcement on Steam’s website revealed early that they are “Verified on Steam Deck.” This means that players who wish to play the game on a handheld device can expect to do so without facing major troubles. Additionally, the game will also act as a Steam native. This means that you don’t have to have the EA App to play it.

Checking Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s Steam Deck Verification
The Steam library is divided into four tabs. One is Great On Deck, others are Playable, Unsupported, and Unknown. The first list of games has a green tick on the bottom left of their thumbnail. Playable games have a yellow “i” icon in the same place. The Unsupported ones have a null icon, while Unknown compatibility has a question mark.
The Playable icon means that the game might not cause a lot of issues but will also come with a set of optimization problems that might be considered basic. If you open any game’s store page, it will show you its Steam Deck compatibility using the badges we discussed above. Click on the blue icon next to the badge to learn its detailed status.

If you have your Deck close to you, grab it and visit the Steam store’s library. It has already been assembled to make things easier for you. The Great On Deck tab or the green tick hallmark will only have the games best suited for your handheld. You can expect this from Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Those who don’t wish to get up from their desk to grab their handheld device can do so from their PC as well. Just enter store.steampowered.com/steamdeck/mygames to have all your library games divided into the four sections we discussed above. Again, The Veilguard will be Verified to play on your Deck.
