Dying Light The Beast is just a few weeks away from its official release date. And with the launch looming ever closer, Techland has ramped up the game’s marketing and promotional efforts. The development of The Beast started as a DLC for Dying Light 2. However, over the years, the game’s scope and scale expanded well beyond a DLC, and hence Techland decided to make it into a full-fledged standalone experience. The Beast sees the return of Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the original Dying Light, in a new and more powerful form. The story also seems to be much darker than the past two games, delving deeper into Kyle’s past and also the events that led to his mutations.

With the game’s release drawing closer, fans might be interested in pre-ordering Dying Light The Beast. However, as is the case with most modern Triple-A releases, The Beast is offered in multiple editions, which can complicate the pre-ordering process. To help with that, here’s everything you need to know about Dying Light The Beast’s different versions, and whether it’s worth paying extra for the Deluxe Edition or not.

Should You Pre-Order Dying Light The Beast’s Deluxe Edition?

The Deluxe Edition for Dying Light The Beast is $10 extra over the Standard Edition. However, for the extra $10, you’re getting access to a cosmetics pack, official wallpapers, an exclusive weapon, an exclusive vehicle, and more. And given it’s just $10 over the Standard Edition, getting the Deluxe Upgrade is totally worth it. That being said, most of the items included in the Deluxe Edition will have alternatives that can be unlocked via gameplay. As such, you aren’t missing out on much even if you plan to stick with the Standard Edition. Additionally, much like Dying Light 2, Techland will most likely release a Deluxe Upgrade option for Standard Edition owners.

As such, if you end up enjoying Dying Light The Beast, you can choose to buy the Deluxe Upgrade at a later date to show your support for the game.
