Everything you need to know about Elden Ring Nightreign’s Deluxe Edition and whether it’s worth spending extra.

Elden Ring Nightreign is easily the most intriguing and innovative title from developer FromSoftware in recent times. While it might not be for everyone, it certainly is a fascinating project from a studio that’s primarily known for its single-player-focused experiences. While FromSoftware’s games have showcased multiplayer interactions, those were quite limited in scope. Moreover, they were often sidelined by the core single-player aspects. However, with Nightreign (and the recently announced The Duskbloods), FromSoftware seems to be pivoting towards a more multiplayer-oriented game. Despite that, Nightreign still features the DNA of Elden Ring.
That fact alone is bound to attract players, even if they’re not fond of multiplayer modes in souls-likes. Now, with Elden Ring Nightreing’s release looming ever closer, some players might be thinking of pre-ordering the title. However, with the game being offered in multiple editions and DLCs, it’s bound to confuse some players.
To help with that, here’s everything you need to know about Elden Ring Nightreign’s different editions and whether it’s worth spending extra on the Deluxe Edition.
What Is Included in Elden Ring Nightreign’s Deluxe Edition?

Elden Ring Nightreing’s Deluxe Edition is priced at $54.99, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering it’s not advertised as a mainline title. Instead, Nightreing is a smaller-scale project that’s more of a spin-off to the base Elden Ring (and Shadow of the Erdtree) experience. As such, the game is priced accordingly. Furthermore, much like the base game of Elden Ring, Nightreing is a cross-gen title. This means that the game is available on both last-gen (PS4 and Xbox One) as well as current-gen (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) consoles. Furthermore, much like base Elden Ring, Nightreign also comes with the free upgrade option for the last-gen version of the game.
As for the Deluxe Edition, it’s quite similar to the base Elden Ring and its Deluxe Edition. For the extra $15, you get access to the game’s official soundtrack and artbook, as well as future DLCs. FromSoftware has yet to reveal the DLC roadmap for Nightreign. However, the DLCs will include new playable characters as well as bosses. Here’s a look at the different editions of Elden Ring Nightreing:
Standard Edition ($40)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus (Gesture)
Deluxe Edition ($55)
- Base game
- Pre-order bonus (Gesture)
- Additional DLC
- Digital artbook and soundtrack
Is Elden Ring Nightreign Deluxe Edition Worth It?

If you’re a fan of Elden Ring and are interested in Nightreign’s offerings, getting the Deluxe Edition isn’t a bad deal. Not only are you getting the art book and soundtrack but also access to the game’s future DLCs. However, if you’re on the fence about the game and its multiplayer focus, it’s best to stick with the Standard Edition. Furthermore, you technically aren’t missing anything by going with the Standard Edition since the DLCs will be available as a standalone purchase upon release.
