Will FragPunk be available on Xbox One and PS4? Find out whether the 5v5 shooter supports old-gen consoles.
FragPunk is an upcoming team-based FPS developed by Bad Guitar Studio. The game’s alpha and beta tests received a highly positive response, significantly boosting its hype and leaving fans curious about its release platforms. As per the official announcement, FragPunk will be available for new-gen consoles. But what about old-gen consoles? Will Xbox One and PS4 players get a chance to experience this high-tech 5v5 shooter?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. FragPunk is exclusive to new-gen consoles and will not be available on Xbox One and PS4, limiting accessibility for players on old-gen consoles.

FragPunk All Available Platforms
The developers have officially confirmed that FragPunk will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, as well as PC (via Steam and Epic Games). Since the game features an innovative and dynamic feature called “Shard Cards,” Bad Guitar Studio may have decided to develop it for high-performance consoles to avoid optimization and performance issues on old-gen systems.
Shard Cards allow players to modify the battleground rules, offering endless possibilities and ensuring that no two rounds of the game are the same. These modifiers include boosting jump height, reversing the roles of attackers and defenders, turning the world upside down, transforming characters’ heads to be big or small, and more.
While originally planning to release the game on all platforms simultaneously, the developers delayed the console launch at the last minute. Moreover, there was no information about the new release date. This delay is only for console players. As for PC gamers, they can access the game as scheduled on March 6, 2025.
