Godzilla from Godzilla Singular Point is available in Super Robot Wars Y. But is it a playable character in the game? Let’s explore.
Super Robot Wars Y features a lot of interesting characters, including Godzilla. This new JRPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment is a grid-based tactical RPG where selecting good characters is a must to secure your victory. One doubt that many players had was about the presence of Godzilla in the game. If you also have the same doubt, you are at the right place. While Godzilla is available in the game, it is not a playable character, unfortunately.
Godzilla Plays the Role of an Antagonist in Super Robot Wars Y
Godzilla Singular Point is a popular anime series that is available on Netflix. As the name suggests, Godzilla is the antagonist of this series, which is now featured in Super Robot Wars Y. As mentioned already though, it is not a playable character by any means at the time of writing.
Do note though, that Godzilla does play the role of an antagonist during some missions in the game. It will be available as a boss enemy in some quests, but there is no upgradable or recruitable path for Godzilla. It will be available as just an apocalyptic entity, as it was in the Godzilla Singular Point series. Given his role in the anime, it did not make its way to the game’s list of playable characters.
Fortunately, if you are a longtime fan of this anime, you are in for a treat. The theme music from the anime is available as part of the Premium Sound & Data Pack. You can play this track as background music during combat. Nonetheless, this character can not be unlocked or added to your roster.
