Rockstar Games has managed to turn GTA 5 and GTA Online into one of the most successful games of all time, which is impressive considering their impressive selection of critically acclaimed titles. With the subscription boom and a library of games in their back pocket, Rockstar launched the GTA+ subscription earlier in 2022.
The $7.99 monthly subscription gives you access to the Rockstar Games catalog in addition to other benefits. The question now is, is GTA+ worth the purchase? To answer the question, it depends. The GTA+ benefits are certainly lucrative but they may not be for everybody. We shall discuss this in detail below.

GTA Games Library
The GTA+ membership comes packed with several member benefits that make it an attractive option. The biggest benefit of subscribing to the Rockstar subscription is the catalog of their critically acclaimed games. This GTA+ Games Library includes Bully, Red Dead Redemption, GTA Trilogy, L.A. Noire, GTA Liberty City Stories, and GTA Chinatown Wars. Notably, titles such as GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are absent from this list.
GTA Online Benefits
In addition to the Games Library, the membership includes several benefits for players of GTA Online. These benefits range are:
- GTA$500,000 every billing cycle.
- 15% extra bonus GTA$ with GTA+ Member-Only Shark Cards.
- In-game shop discounts Discounts on a selection of in-game items.
- Bonus GTA$ on select missions.
Furthermore, you get new benefits every month, which range from bonus vehicles, liveries, Chameleon Paint, clothing items, and other in-game items. You also get access to test drives. This way, you can test out a vehicle before you decide to purchase it. The bonuses and benefits tied to missions also vary each month. You also get access to in-game services such as a 100-car garage, VIP vehicles, a Member-only app, taxi rides, and more.
Should You Purchase GTA+
While GTA+ Subscription may seem attractive, it is only worth investing in if you’re a regular player of GTA Online. The plethora of benefits that come with the membership makes it worth it for those who complete GTA Online missions and want the extra benefits. If you’re a single-player-only player, then it is only worth it if you haven’t played the games in their catalog. Else, we wouldn’t recommend it.
