Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox on August 26, 2025, but will it also be making its way to the Xbox Game Pass?
Helldivers 2 is one of the most popular PvE shooters of this generation. The game has been making waves across the PlayStation and PC ecosystems. Helldivers 2 consistently boasts impressive player counts, and the game’s overall player count is now set to increase as Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox.
Helldivers 2 will be coming to Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on August 26, 2025. Players on the Xbox platforms will finally be able to join the fight for Super Earth, and this will be glorious with crossplay enabled.

Helldivers 2 Is Not on Xbox Game Pass

As stated earlier, Helldivers 2 will not be included in the Xbox Game Pass. This update comes from the official Helldivers 2 Discord community. Arrowhead Community Manager Baskinator revealed that the game was “definitely not” coming to Xbox Game Pass.
“Definitely not. No plans to bring it to Game Pass,” Baskinator said, replying to a user who stated that the game was confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass.
This news comes as a bummer for anyone hoping to give the game a shot on the Xbox Game Pass. While it may be a bummer, it really comes as no surprise.
Helldivers 2’s move to Xbox is monetarily motivated, and Sony would not want to compromise on potential sales by putting the game on a subscription service.
Now, the only way to play Helldivers 2 is to purchase it. There are two editions of the game you can pick up. The first edition is the standard edition of the game.
Priced at $39.99, this game includes just the Helldivers 2 base game. The second edition is the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition. Priced at $59.99, this edition includes Helldivers 2 base game, DP-53 Savior of the Free Armor Set, Will of the People Cape, MP-98 Knight Weapon, Super Citizen Status, Stratagem Hero Ship Game, and Premium Warbond Token.
