Killing Floor 3 is the third installment of Tripwire Interactive’s beloved horror co-op FPS franchise. It’s been almost 9 years since the release of the previous title. Needless to say, fans have been waiting for a long time for this game. With that said, you might be curious about what platforms the game is releasing on.
Killing Floor 3 will be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is set to release on July 24, 2025. You can also pre-order the game before the release date to get some bonus content.
Is Killing Floor 3 Available on PS4 and Xbox One?
Unfortunately, Killing Floor 3 is only available for the current generation of consoles. That includes the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. This also means you won’t be able to play the game on previous generations like the PS4 and Xbox One.
Additionally, the game is also not confirmed for release on other handhelds like the Nintendo Switch. This goes for both the first one and the second version of the handheld. As for the Steam Deck, it’s not yet confirmed to be optimized for this console. However, you can try and play the game there. But you might experience performance issues.
Is Floor 3 on Xbox Game Pass?
Killing Floor 3 will not be available on the Xbox Game Pass on release day. This means you will have to purchase the game if you want to play it. There’s always a possibility that it could arrive on Game Pass in the future. However, it’s worth noting that neither Killing Floor 1 nor Killing Floor 2 was ever added to the subscription service. As such, expectations should be tempered unless Tripwire Interactive strikes a new deal with Microsoft down the line.
Is Killing Floor 3 Worth Buying?
If you enjoy horror FPS titles with gore, then Killing Floor 3 is worth buying. However, if you are a longtime fan of the franchise, it might depend on your preference. The overall vibe of the game has shifted heavily toward sci-fi. The look and feel of Killing Floor 3 has changed quite a bit from the earlier games. If you originally played it for its grindhouse vibe, you might miss that in its third iteration.
