Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition comes with a few extra goodies, but is it worth buying at the higher price?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the greatest stealth action games of all time, and depending on who you ask, Hideo Kojima’s magnum opus. The game, however, is well over two decades old and may feel like a chore to play. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the iconic entry for yourself, you now have the chance to do so with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a remake of MGS3, and is now merely 2 weeks away from release. If you go and visit the store pages for the game, you’ll find two editions you can purchase: the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition.
The Standard Edition $69.99, while the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition is worth $79.99. The Deluxe Edition comes with a few extra goodies, but is it worth buying? Well, no, and we shall discuss this in detail below.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition Is Not Worth Buying

As stated earlier, the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition is not worth buying. Priced at $79.99, the Deluxe Edition includes the following:
- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater base game
- Uniform: Battle Dress (PW ver.)
- Uniform: Sneaking Suit (PW ver.)
- Uniform: Crocodile Suit
- Uniform: Naked (Woodland)
- Uniform: Naked (Ammunition Belt)
- Uniform: Gold
- Face: Glasses
- Face: Sunglasses
- Equipment: Kerotan Mask
- Equipment: GA-KO Mask
As you can see, the Deluxe Edition includes the base game and a bunch of skins. These skins are purely cosmetic and don’t really add anything of value to the game. Should you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you get to play the game 48 hours early. But this, too, does very little to justify the extra $10. As much as we love MGS3, we recommend going for the Standard Edition for this one.
