The theme park management simulator Planet Coaster 2 is not available on the last-gen PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
Planet Coaster 2 is out now, and the coaster park simulator returns with new attractions. The game offers several hours’ worth of content involving building parks, water rides, and various other theme park attractions, in addition to managing them. The sequel takes what fans loved about the original Planet Coaster and makes it bigger and better with several new features using next-gen technology.
The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC. Unfortunately, it is not available on the PS4 and Xbox One last-gen consoles.
What’s New in Planet Coaster 2?
Planet Coaster 2 follows the typical sequel route of making things bigger and better, while also adding quality-of-life improvements. The game introduces many new features, the most exciting of which is its multiplayer mode. “A multiplayer mode? In a park simulator?” was everyone’s reaction when the mode was first revealed, but it has turned doubters into fans with its co-building gameplay.
In this mode, you and a friend can take turns building a park together by sharing saved files, allowing you to create and manage your dream park collaboratively.
The game also improves customization, offering players a wider array of options to choose from. The most anticipated is the color palette swap, which allows you to change the colors of each individual piece.
Themes can make or break a theme park, and Planet Coaster 2 takes this to heart with a new collection of themes, with many more likely to be added during the game’s lifespan. Mythology, Resort, Aquatic, and Viking are the four new themes joining the fray in Planet Coaster 2.
Planet Coaster 2 Editions
Planet Coaster 2 has two editions available for purchase. The Planet Coaster 2 Standard Edition is available for $49.99 and includes the base game. There is also a Deluxe Edition available for $64.99, which includes the base game and the Vintage Funfair Ride pack. The Vintage Funfair Ride pack includes the following rides:
