The PlayStation Network (PSN) is down for PS5 and other devices today (February 8, 2025), and this article explores the current server status.
The PlayStation Network is currently down on PS5, rendering all users unable to connect to the platform and play games. The PSN servers went down at around 6:00 PM PST on February 7, 2025, and has affected all regions of the globe. Every country and region is unable to access the PlayStation Network servers right now, on all devices including the PS5.

As of writing this article, the PlayStation Network (PSN) servers are currently down on the PS5 and all other Sony devices. For the past five hours, the PlayStation network has remained down, much to the dismay of all users. Reports of the outage started pouring in fast, when many users were hit with the Error Code WS-37432-9. In particular, PS+ users are enraged since they are losing valuable time for a service that they have paid for.
According to the PSN Service Status official page, the following services are currently down:
- Account management
- Gaming and socials
- PlayStation Video
- PlayStation Store
- PlayStation Direct
The issue has affected all Sony devices that use the PSN, including the PS3, PS4, PS5, PS Vita, and even the official web store. It is currently unknown when the PSN servers will be back online.
