Is Poogie there in Monster Hunter Wilds? We are here to figure out whether the beloved pig is part of the latest installment.

Poogie’s resume includes appearances in every MH title except Monster Hunter Rise. Players were worried about whether Capcom would decide to not include him in Monster Hunter Wilds as well. After all, he has become an integral part of the series for many and a friendly face that everyone loves to encounter before their hunts.
So is Poogie in MH Wilds? The short answer is yes. As you read ahead, do be aware of spoilers as we will be discussing what happens in the latter half of the Low Rank storyline in the game.
Where Is Poogie in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Poogie is in Suja, the village in the peaks where the Allhearken stays.

Nata’s uncle, Tasheen, tells you of the Allhearken who may know why Arkveld has woken up from its sleep and started feeding, and what it is going to become. The road is long, and you will need to best Jin Dahaad on the way. Once you defeat the Apex Monster of Iceshard Cliffs, you will step out of the icy coldness into the warm comforting environment of Suja.
You will have to run up the path till you come across the first set of the villagers. Poogie’s icon will be visible before the Wyverians come into view. He had a green frog on his head when we met him.

Once you interact with Poogie in Monster Hunter Wilds, you will get the option to Pet and Edit Name. If you do the former, an interaction begins where you will have to hit the Interact button at the right time, otherwise Poogie will tackle the hunter. We didn’t get the option to pick him up or change his clothes yet.
Why Is Poogie a Beloved Part of Monster Hunter Series?
The answer to this isn’t a complicated one – there’s no reason to not love a cute pet pig scuttering about your base, is there? Furthermore, veteran hunters will concur that petting Poogie before leaving for a hunter usually “results” in better carves/drops from monsters. We are not here to decide whether this is a fact (it’s likely not) or a superstition. We are just happy that Poogie is back!
