REPO, the new online co-op horror early access game, experienced a major hiccup on March 11, 2025, when many of its players reported server blackouts. This prevented the affected players from logging in or progressing in the game. So, let’s understand what happened to the REPO servers and which players were affected.
Are REPO Servers Down?
REPO servers suffered an outage on March 11, but the issue was resolved quickly thereafter. Currently, there are no reports of existing server outages for the game. So, you and your friends can likely dive into the game without any problems with connectivity.

Details About the Server Outage for REPO
The major server problems for REPO primarily hit North American players. And it stemmed from a Steam client update. More specifically, players who didn’t update their Steam client often reported the server issues in REPO. Once they installed the update, they were again able to log into the game and play normally with friends.
Many North American players with friends on other continents were also able to bypass the server issues. Rather than hosting the session themselves, they opted for players in Europe or Asia to host the playthrough on servers in those regions. Using a VPN to mask their real location also worked for some players based in North America.
Although the servers are functioning properly at the moment, you should be prepared for further disruptions in the future. This is not uncommon for new online games, especially ones that are still in Early Access. You can join the game’s official Discord server to check whether all REPO servers are up and functioning properly.
