Rust is a game that has maintained popularity for well over a decade, but is the game available on Xbox Game Pass?
Rust is running strong for over a year now, and the game still gets regular content updates in 2025. The game’s player base is rapidly rising, and the game’s constant updates ensure you always have something to fight and raid for.
If you’re someone who’s been watching this hype reach its apex from the outside, you may have wished to give the game a try. The game’s expensive price tag may have been a deterrent, so you may have wished to try it out on Xbox Game Pass instead. Unfortunately, Rust is not available on Xbox Game Pass. Rust Is Not on Xbox Game Pass

As stated earlier, Rust is not on Xbox Game Pass as of the time of this writing. If you wish to play Rust right now on PC or Xbox, you’ll have to purchase the game on Steam or the Xbox Store.
On Steam, you can purchase the Rust standard edition for $39.99. If you wish to purchase the game with all of its DLCs, you’ll then have to pay extra. Rust, with all of its DLCs, will cost you $74.65. The DLC for this game includes:
- Rust – Instruments Pack
- Rust – Sunburn Pack
- Rust – Voice Props Pack
- Rust Soundtrack
If you’re on Xbox, you’ll have to purchase the game from the Xbox store. On the Xbox store, you can purchase Rust Console Edition for $49.99. There are two other, pricier editions that you can purchase for the game. These editions are Rust Console Edition – Deluxe and Rust Console Edition – Ultimate.
The Deluxe version includes the following:
- Rust Console Edition
- Rust Console Edition – Public Test Branch
- Rust Console Edition – New Cobalt Employee Welcome Pack
The Ultimate version includes the following:
- Rust Console Edition
- Rust Console Edition – Public Test Branch

- Rust Console Edition – New Cobalt Employee Welcome Pack (Ultimate)
If you’re buying the game on Xbox, we suggest going for the console edition as the other editions don’t really add anything to justify the high price tag.
