Learn whether The First Berserker: Khazan’s Deluxe Edition is worth its asking price, or if it’s best to stick with the Standard Edition.
The First Berserker: Khazan is arguably one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2025, especially for souls-like fans. While the game is set within publisher Nexon’s Dungeon Fighters Online franchise, it’s a completely different experience compared to other DnF titles. Instead of being a 2D beat-’em-up, The First Berserker: Khazan is more akin to games like Nioh and Dark Souls.
Although it’s not necessarily soul-like, it does borrow elements from the genre. Surprisingly enough, despite being announced quite recently, the game is due for release in just a couple of months, on March 24, 2025. Furthermore, pre-orders for the game are already live on all platforms.
As is the case with most Triple-A or Double-A games, The First Berserker: Khazan is offered in multiple editions. Deciding which edition to pick or pre-order can often end up becoming a daunting task. This is especially true for the “Premium” or, in Khazan’s case, “Deluxe” Editions, which are priced much higher than the Standard versions. However, is the Deluxe Edition worth the additional asking price, or are you better off sticking with the Standard Edition? Let’s find out.

The First Berserker: Khazan is offered in two editions: Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition is priced at $60 and comes with the base game and a pre-order bonus (if you pre-purchase the game). The Deluxe Edition is priced at $70 and offers a ton of additional in-game bonuses on top of the Standard Edition content.
Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition also offers 72-hour early access for pre-ordering. The early access incentive is one of the major reasons why you might consider getting the $70 version. That said, here’s a rundown of the two editions of The First Berserker: Khazan:

As for the pre-order bonus, it includes the Fallen Star armor set. The First Berserker: Khazan is a current-gen-only title, meaning it’s only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Despite that, it still follows the cross-gen/previous-gen pricing structure, with the Standard Edition being priced at $60.
Should You Buy The First Berserker: Khazan Deluxe Edition?
For the asking price of $70, The First Berserker: Khazan’s Deluxe Edition is very much justified. In fact, if you’re planning to pre-order the game anyway, it’s best to go for the Deluxe Edition for the extra $10. Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition also grants you access to the exclusive Hero’s set, which can help you go through the game’s opening few hours.
Additionally, you get access to the game’s official artbook with the Deluxe Edition. Considering the game’s unique art style and enemy design, an artbook is something some fans would really appreciate getting their hands on. However, if you don’t want to spend the additional $10, you should be perfectly fine with the Standard Edition.
But if you are willing to spend a bit extra, the Deluxe Edition is totally worth grabbing.
