Can PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscribers enjoy The King Is Watching without paying for the game separately?

Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus subscribers frequently enjoy titles like The King Is Watching in their respective catalogs. Both subscriptions love to surprise their subscribers with day-one releases of many lesser-known games. 

Is The King Is Watching available on any services for players to access without an extra fee since its release in December 2024? The short answer is no.

How Can Xbox and PS Players Play The King is Watching?

The primary reason why the roguelite kingdom builder isn’t on any of these services is that the title is a PC exclusive! That’s right. tinyBuild hasn’t published The King is Watching for either Xbox or PS. Due to the platform limitations, interested players can play this title either on their Steam Deck or on their PC by downloading it from Steam. The game is paid and is currently priced at $13.49 on Steam. Xbox Game Pass even includes PC exclusives like He Is Coming on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, but unfortunately doesn’t include The King Is Watching.

As of now, the developers haven’t publicly announced the game’s arrival on either of the said platforms. So, at the time of writing, we don’t know if The King Is Watching will ever arrive on the Game Pass or PS Plus in the distant future either. If it does, we will make sure to update you.

In the meantime, PC players can enjoy The King Is Watching if they are a fan of kingdom builders. What this title does differently is being a “roguelite.” The waves of enemies will keep coming after you as your kingdom thrives. You must balance your time and resources between production and training armies. This may sound simple, but each run adds a unique event and twist!
