Pokemon GO has released a Tour Pass for their latest event that all players will get for free. However, if you want some more elusive rewards, you can also purchase the Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe. In particular, a popular Gen 5 Mythical Pokemon and a new exclusive item will also be up for grabs. With all of these lucrative perks included, the Tour Pass Deluxe is a tempting choice.
Unlike the normal Tour Pass, which is free, the Deluxe variant does cost a fair bit. In this article, we will look at the exclusive items that you can obtain in the Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe and explore whether it is worth buying.

Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe: Exclusive Victini Encounter and Lucky Trinket
The Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe will offer an immediate encounter with Victini once you purchase it. Victini has only appeared twice in Pokemon GO to date. Its first appearance was during the Pokemon GO Fest in 2020. Later, it appeared in a Special Research in September of the same year. After over four years, the Mythical Pokemon from Gen 5 is all set to return as an exclusive encounter with the Tour Pass Deluxe.
Other than that, the Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe also debuts the Lucky Trinket, an item that will turn anyone from your friend list into a Lucky Friend. This item works irrespective of your current friendship level with a person and will instantly make them a Lucky Friend, provided you are at least Great Friends with them. This is a great perk to have since you will get a guaranteed Lucky Trade with this friend, which will in turn give you a confirmed Lucky Pokemon.

That said, the Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe will cost you $14.99 (or its regional equivalent). You will be able to purchase this item from the Web Store or from Pokemon GO itself between Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time, to Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. local time.

The Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe is worth it, and you should definitely buy it if your budget allows. As mentioned earlier, the Deluxe variant costs $14.99. This is a significant price to pay, considering the regular Tour Pass is absolutely free.
However, the guaranteed encounter with Victini and the special Lucky Trinket make up for this bump in price. Victini is a Mythical Pokemon that cannot be traded in Pokemon GO, and you cannot obtain it any other way. Moreover, this is the second time that it has appeared, after a span of over four years, making it one of the rarest creatures in Pokemon GO.
As such, if you want to have the Victory Pokemon in your collection and have a guaranteed Lucky Pokemon, the Pokemon GO Tour Pass Deluxe is a worthy upgrade that you should definitely consider.
