In this article, we will take a look at how Photo Mode works in Donkey Kong Bananza and how you can enable it.

After a long anticipation, Donkey Kong Bananza is finally available to play on the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. This time around, the game features multiple new additions that were not present in the previous Donkey Kong titles. This includes an exciting new photo mode, which was revealed for the first time during the Donkey Kong Bananza Direct, which aired on June 18, 2025.
Donkey Kong Bananza: Photo Mode Explained

One thing that Donkey Kong has finally adopted from Western developers is the photo mode. While this is something that has been available in most video games for a long while now, Bananza will be the first DK title that will offer this feature. So now you don’t need to wait and look for the perfect opportunity and capture a screenshot; you can now rely on the much better photo mode instead.
Using the photo mode, you can change the in-game camera angle according to your own will. You can zoom in or zoom out, change angles, and get the perfect picture of anything fascinating from the DKB world that you might want to show to your friends.
