In it, players train various horse girls inspired by real-life racehorses and compete in various races to reach the ultimate goal: the URA Finale. Umamusume Pretty Derby Is a Free-To-Play Gacha Title

Currently, the game is available across multiple platforms, such as PC (Steam), Android, and iOS, but not on consoles. At the end of each career run, you will get a rating depicting how good of a trainer you were during it.
There are 26 Umamusume, aka horse girls, in the game. However, to unlock some of them alongside support cards, you will need to purchase the in-game currency, the Carat. Additionally, it is also tied to the progression system in some capacity, and you might feel compelled to spend real-life money to move forward in your Umamusume career.
The Gacha System in Umamusume Pretty Derby
Since Umamusume: Pretty Derby is a free-to-play game, it generates most of its revenue through the in-game store and the random pulls, hence the “Gacha” title. For example, to unlock new horse girls and obtain support cards, you will need to use the game’s Scout System. The game divides scouting into two subcategories: Pretty Derby Scouting (for Horse Girls) and Support Card Scouting, which is self-explanatory.
Each of the scouts you use will give you an Umamusume or a Support Card from a random pull. But a single Scout costs 150 Carats in the game, which translates to approximately $3.85 in real-life.
Of course, Carats aren’t entirely locked behind the in-game store. Players can get some amount of the Umamusume Pretty Derby’s premium currency by completing different challenges and objectives in the game.
