Vindictus: Defying Fate is the latest game by Nexon, set in the world of their 2010 MMORPG, Vindictus. Unlike its predecessor, Vindictus: Defying Fate is an action RPG with Soulslike elements. The story takes place in the world of Vindictus, inspired by Celtic mythology, and retells the original game’s story through new interpretations. With stunning graphics and a snappy combat system, the game is a must-try for fans of the genre, especially given its current status.
Can You Play Vindictus Defying Fate for Free?
Yes, you can play Vindictus: Defying Fate for free. However, the current version is an alpha demo. It is only available to play until June 16th, 2025, 11:59 PM (PDT). So, if you are interested, get your hands on it as soon as you can. Try it out soon because, after June 16th, the demo will be removed and will no longer be playable, even if you have it installed.
Nexon has made the alpha version of Vindictus: Defying Fate available as a demo to simultaneously create hype about the game and gather valuable player feedback. As of now, the release date for the final game has not been made available. It is unlikely such a demo will be offered again, and the full game is not expected to be free. Therefore, now is your chance to try the game out before June 16th. You can download it for free on Steam.

Will Vindictus Defying Fate Demo Progress Carry Over to the Full Game?
Unfortunately, any progress you make while playing the demo for Vindictus: Defying Fate will not be carried over into the final game. There are four character classes to create and level up, items to gather, and bosses to defeat. However, all this progress will be wiped away when the demo goes offline on June 16th, 2025.
This is mainly because much of the game’s data and the story’s progression will be changed when the full game is released. Transferring player progress from the demo is likely to cause technical complications. So, treat the Vindictus: Defying Fate demo as a light trial run of the game and avoid becoming too invested in the characters you create. Ultimately, the full game may look very different from its current version when it finally comes out.
