YouTuber iShowSpeed ended his Christmas Eve stream early after receiving multiple Lionel Messi-themed gifts from fans.
YouTuber Darren Jason Watkins Jr., aka iShowSpeed, hosted a livestream on Christmas Eve to open presents from his viewers. While opening his presents, he noticed that someone had given him Mas+ hydration drink marketed by soccer player Lionel Messi, which upset the streamer.
Speed is critical of Messi and supports the player’s sports rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, instead. The streamer is vocal about supporting Ronaldo over Messi, and the hydration drink present was presumably a joke to troll him.
The Mas+ energy drinks were not the only Messi-themed gifts IShowSpeed received. He jokingly said he would end the stream after opening multiple packages with fans showing Messi support.
IShowSpeed Ends Stream After Receiving Note From a Messi Fan
During Speed’s Christmas Eve stream, he received gifts from his fans, including Palestine-themed shirts. He is a vocal supporter of Palestine and was commended by Hasan Piker at the Streamer Awards 2024 for it.
Along with all of the genuine gifts, Speed’s viewers also sent Messi-themed items to troll him. When he saw the hydration drinks, he said:
“Somebody’s fcking, don’t send me that sht. Going to send me a Messi drink, the hell?”

Later in the livestream, iShowSpeed opened a box of green apples and a note that said, “Messi I love.” He responded to the gift by saying:
“Did this n*gga just get me green apples? This n*gga really gifted me green apples! The f*ck is this? ‘Messi I love’, what the f*ck! This n*gga wants me to end the stream.”

Shortly after opening the box, he ended his stream early, and the clip went viral on social media.
Speed and Ronaldo Raised $100,000 for a Kid Who Lost His Family
Speed is not only a vocal Ronaldo fan, but he also teamed up with the soccer star for charity work. The duo raised $100,000 for an orphaned child named Francisco, who lost his parents and sister in an explosion. The kid received the fundraised amount and met Ronaldo and the Portuguese soccer team thanks to Speed and his community’s efforts.

Speed told Francisco in a video call:
“It’s Speed here. I’m sorry for your loss man, and I heard about your story Francisco. You are a strong kid. But I have a surprise for you, Francisco, you will be meeting Ronaldo.”

Shortly after the call, he kept his promise and donated the money to help the kid with his future. Speed also visited Ronaldo’s son in Saudi Arabia recently in a group meet-up and shared photos online.
