Frontier Developments used its proprietary Cobra Engine 5 to build Jurassic World Evolution 3. The use of a proprietary engine allowed the developers to bring their vision to life without needing high system requirements. In fact, the system requirements are actually quite decent compared to other 2025 titles. However, they are still a bit too much for tiny handheld devices like the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and others.

That’s why you must use optimized settings to get an optimal performance out of these handhelds. In this article, we are sharing all the best optimized settings for playing Jurassic World Evolution 3 on the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and others.

The Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go handhelds have AMD chips inside. On the other hand, the MSI Claw is equipped with an Intel chip. Both chips are capable of delivering a similar performance, so the same set of optimized settings applies to all four handhelds. These settings will run Jurassic World Evolution 3 at 30 FPS on the Steam Deck and around 40 FPS on the ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, and MSI Claw. You will find all the optimized settings below:

Note: The settings provided below are based on the game’s recommended specs and shouldn’t be used for resolutions higher than 1920 x 1080.

Final Optimizations

We optimized the above settings to deliver 30 – 40 FPS on those handhelds, but you must do one more thing to ensure there are no stutters or frame drops. Steam Deck users will need to enable the Manual GPU Clock slider and set it to 1600 MHz. On the other hand, the ROG Ally, Legion Go, and MSI Claw users must use Performance or Turbo Mode.
