Twitch streamer Kai Cenat’s latest Mafiathon 2 stream (November 27, 2024) has ended up garnering a controversial moment. For context, the streamer invited magician Max Major. Major is a renowned magician and self-proclaimed mentalist (someone who does tricks involving reading minds). The controversy occurred after Major didn’t inform Cenat or his team about the trick he was about to do. As the trick unfolded, it turned out that Major suspended himself by hanging from a rope.

This naturally raised an alarming response from both the streamer and his team. While it was just a prank, the stunt garnered significant backlash due to the disturbing nature of the trick. Later, Major uploaded a short video on his YouTube channel explaining that part of the prank was to lead Cenat into choosing the wrong handle. He explained:

‘What you don’t know is that was all according to my plan. See, at the start of my performance, I said that tonight was all about choices. But not just the choices that you made tonight, but the choices that you made since the day that we met. Since the first time we met, you pushed me, you challenged me, and you wanted to see me fail. And I thought tonight, I’ll give you exactly what you asked for.”

“You see, you thought the game was for me to influence you to make the right choice. But all along, I plan to influence you to make the wrong choice, and I knew you’d pick the red handle.”

What Did Kai Cenat Say Following the Controversy?

Kai Cenat and his team were asked to leave the area following the stunt. However, it was later revealed that Major’s team had attempted to leave as well. A visibly upset Cenat reacted negatively to the situation, expressing frustration that it made him and his friends appear crazed. He said:

“Let ’em go! He wants ni**as to look…we just look like Black people that look crazy. That’s what they want the things to look like. It ain’t worth it, bro. Us screaming at him, we just look like a whole bunch of Black ni**as that look crazy. So, let god handle that, bro.”

Max Major Responds to the Criticism

Max Major later reached out to Kai and his team, admitting there was no reason to return and acknowledging that he was “the bad guy.” Reading out the message, Kai Cenat said:

“Max just texted me… please, listen up, chat. Max just texted my team saying, ‘It’s Max, I don’t have my phone, I think we have everyone leave, and we let the story be what it is. I’m the bad guy, but coming back, doesn’t change anything.’ Let the story be what it is, what do you mean?! This is selfish! That is selfish!”
