As part of the 56th NAACP Image Awards, Kai Cenat has been nominated for “Outstanding Social Media Personality.”
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a U.S.-based organization, presents the NAACP Image Awards every year to recognize exceptional work in literature, music, theater, cinema, and television. Additionally, NAACP members vote on more than 40 Image Award categories. The 56th NAACP Image Awards has nominated popular Twitch streamer and online personality Kai Cenat in the category “Outstanding Social Media Personality.”
Moreover, the awards ceremony will be broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Center on February 22, 2025, on BET and CBS. The theme of this year’s program is “Our Stories, Our Culture, Our Excellence.” However, the host has yet to be announced. For the past two events, Queen Latifah has hosted the ceremony.
Fans are visibly excited about Kai Cenat’s nomination and have taken to X to express their emotions. While one user said that it was “well deserved,” another went on to call Kai a “Social Media Superstar.” X user Lilbit10 said, “That’s a big accomplishment.”

Kai Cenat’s Beef With Kanye West Ends
In March 2024, Ye took offense when Kai Cenat criticized a clothing care package delivered by him and his team. The garments were apparently too big for Kai, as he complained about them on his stream. He said,
“I said a small, not an extra-extra large. The f**k am I supposed to do with this sh*t?”
Recently, Kanye West shared an Instagram story of a horse wearing a “Bully” stable blanket standing in the center of the room where Cenat hosts his Twitch livestreams. Kai Cenat, on the other hand, appeared puzzled by the meaning of the image and expressed his confusion during a stream. He said,
“I don’t even know what this sh*t means,” he said. “Now, listen, I know he’s got an album coming out. And I’m not gonna lie. I think I’m officially a part of the rollout. I don’t know, though. Brilliant move by him. I think I’m a part of the rollout. He made me a part of the f**king rollout, dude. But it’s the most random thing. Like, I wanna pick at his brain, and I wonder why. Oh my god. He’s trying to call me a dehydrated horse. Oh my God. What can this mean? Is he gonna diss me?”
However, Kai Cenat says he is no longer beefing with Kanye West after the rapper wrote him a private message on social media. Moreover, he revealed the news to his viewers during a recent broadcast. Cenat began by holding his phone up to the camera with his DMs open. He went on to say,
“The beef is over. Lemme text him back.”
