Killing Floor 3 features a class-based system where you can specialize in a specific role that synergizes with your teammates. You can be a Ninja that can easily slice through hordes, a Sharpshooter that provides firepower from the rear, or a Medic that keeps your squad alive. Needless to say, there are a lot of options to choose from.
However, you might be wondering if there is a way to customize your character in the game. Unfortunately, there is no character customization in Killing Floor 3. Each character in the game is a pre-designed Specialist with their own unique backstory and abilities.

How To Customize Your Character in Killing Floor 3
While character creation is not an option in the game, there are cosmetics that you can unlock to customize your character and weapons in Killing Floor 3. The first batch of cosmetics can be acquired by pre-ordering the game. Based on the edition you purchased, you get varying amounts of accessories and character skins.
For now, this is as close as you can get to character customization in the game. Each playable character in the game has its own custom models and a set of abilities or perks. Perhaps, in the future, we may be seeing more customization in the game.
All Nightfall Specialists in Killing Floor 3
If you are curious about each playable Specialist in Killing Floor 3, here is a quick rundown of their roles in the game:

| Firebug | Devlin | Has access to incendiary-type weapons. Good crowd control and AoE attacks for clearing waves. |
| Commando | Foster | Balanced playstyle that is good for close and ranged combat. |
| Engineer | Imran | Offers explosive damage capabilities that can take down multiple enemies at once. |
| Sharpshooter | Luna | Specializes in ranged weaponry. This character can be played with a long-range sniper or run-and-gun style. |
| Ninja | Nakata | A character with a melee-focused playstyle. |
| Medic | Obi | A supportive Specialist who can heal allies. |
Keep in mind that these are just the starter characters that you can unlock in the game. Tripwire Interactive might be releasing more playable characters in the future with their own specialization.
