In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC, the Prevention Task becomes available right after completing the Silent Witnesses. It’s essentially an optional quest that rewards you with the Plague Hood as well as a few recipes. The objective for this Task is quite simple: you need to gather the essential materials to craft the Plague Hood.

However, there’s a catch. The entire monastery is quarantined due to the plague, and as such, gathering the required materials for the Plague Hood can be quite an arduous “task.” Here’s a comprehensive walkthrough for the Prevention Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC.

How To Complete The Prevention Task In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae

Right at the start of the Prevention Task, Zacharias will ask you to wear a mask to shield you from the plague. However, in order to do so, you will first need to collect the necessary items to make the said mask. The Task is divided into four parts, with each corresponding to one of the necessary ingredients required to craft the Plague Hood.

You first need to craft an aromatic oil, and after that, you will need to use leather and rope to make the mask. Here’s a step-by-step guide for the entire quest, including the locations of the necessary materials for the Plague Hood:

Mint: You can find plenty of Mint in the closet inside the Alchemy Room. To reach the Alchemy Room, go through the back of the infirmary, preferably unnoticed.
Sage: Sage is easy to find as it’s abundant in the garden close to the infirmary.
Rope: Carefully avoid the guards to reach the building area of the infirmary. You will find a broken cart near the rubble, and also a piece of rope.
Leather: The pig skin leather can be found close to where you picked up the rope.

Recipe For The Aromatic Oil

For the aromatic oil recipe, you need to head back to the library and look for the book “Records on Fragrant Oils and Their Virtues.” Thankfully, you can find the boss on the shelf close to the exit of the library. Do be careful not to alert the librarian. Once you read the book, you will unlock the recipe for the aromatic oil. Make sure to pick up Chamomile and Valerian on your way to the Alchemy Room.

With the recipe at hand, you will be able to craft the aromatic oil. Here are the steps to craft the aromatic oil:

Open the Essential Oils page in the recipe book.
Pour oil into the couldron and throw Chamomile in the mix and boil it for 3 turns. Make sure to use the Sandglass to time it.
Next, take the Sage and grind it in the mortar.
Put the Sage in the couldron and boil it for 1 turn.
For the final step, take Valerian, grind it, and add it to the couldron.
Now, just prepare a phial and pour the mixture into it.

Craft The Plague Hood (Mask)

Once you have all the ingredients, simply choose the Make a Plague Mask option in the Alchemy Room. This rewards you with the Plague Hood and also concludes the Prevention Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae.
