Warhorse Studios’ new title, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, is out. It is an action RPG set in medieval Bohemia, and you play as a character named Henry. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this sequel and the content it offers. Much to their delight, the game had a pre-order bonus DLC named Lion’s Crest, which added a new quest to the game, where players can go on a treasure hunt to find the legendary Sir Brunswick’s armor.

But first, you will need to complete the opening of the game to explore the Troskowitz region freely. To be more precise, you can start the DLC once you reach the main quest named “Wedding Crashers.”

Where To Start (Image via Deep Silver, Plaion)

After reaching the point in the game mentioned earlier, you will see a green-colored DLC marker on your map. Following its path will take you to the Troskowitz scribe. There, you will meet an NPC named Gaibl. You need to speak to him to start the quest. Gaibl will tell you about the legend of Sir Brunswick and his armor and give you a riddle to solve. The interesting aspect of this quest is that after this point, there will be no map markers to guide you. You must rely on the riddle Gaibl gives you, which can be found in your quest log. Let’s solve the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Lion’s Crest quest.

Let’s Solve The Riddle

The Riddle is as follows:

“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between them stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armor gleaming still.”

First, we need to solve the meaning of the “Crone and Maiden,” which is not hard. The Crone and Maiden refer to the two towers of Trosky Castle with the same names. Once you reach the castle gate, head north. The “Pass Through The Hall Of Forest Kings” line tells us to follow the north road and go through the forest. Follow that road, and you will notice the area becoming more rocky as you proceed.

Keep an eye on your left side, and you might stumble upon a rock formation with a gap in between. This is what Gaibl meant by saying “Standing Tall Two Guards of Stone.” Pass through the gap and go deeper. Eventually, you will come across a chapel in a cave. A stone cross will be inside it, corresponding to the “A Place To Give One’s Heart To God” line. Interact with the cross to find your first piece of armor along with some maps.

The First Map

On the first map, you will see Trosky Castle and the chapel on the right side. Take the road that led you to the rock formation and go further west. Keep checking your map to see if it matches the drawing on the armor maps you found. We recommend looking specifically for the crossroad that looks like a triangle tilted left.

Go north from that crossroad, and you will stumble upon a wolf den and two trees side by side, just as depicted on the map. Fight off the wolves and then check the two small trees above the entrance of the den to find another piece of the armor.

The Second Map

The next map will take you toward the southwest. The large pond or river on the map and the red arrow on its left side pointing east will instantly grab your attention. The map indicates the village near Vidlak Pond. Once you reach it, follow the road behind the fisherman’s hut. Shortly after, you will see some large cliffs with three crosses on them, just as depicted on the second map. Upon reaching those cliffs, look for the next piece of armor near the north cross.

The Third Map

The next location is not far, according to the third map. If you look at the map, you will notice a pond connecting to a river. This is the same pond from the previous map. You will also see two bridges and a drawing of a bath near one of them. This bath actually refers to the tavern of Zeheljov. Cross both bridges, then follow the road beside the stream that leads into the forest.

After entering the forest, keep an eye out for a fallen log over the stream. Then, go to the hill near the stream and look for a giant oak tree with a skeleton under it. You will find what you are looking for in the bag next to the skeleton.

The Fourth Map

We have finally reached the fourth and final map of the quest. The fourth map will point you toward the location of the game’s opening, southwest of the pond. Once you have reached that location, you will see a hill nearby. Go up the hill, and you will encounter some treasure hunters. These NPCs won’t be friendly to you, so it is best to teach them a lesson. After you have defeated them, look for a cross sitting on some rocks. You will have to interact with that cross to get the last piece of Sir Brunswick’s armor and complete the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Lion’s Crest DLC.

Conclusion

So, our article covering the Lion’s Crest quest ends here. We understand that the quest can be quite confusing because of its lack of a marker, but rest assured that everything you need to know to get Sir Brunswick’s armor is in this guide.
