Neowiz’s Souls-like game is set to release an expansion for Lies of P. Here are all the details surrounding Lies of P: Overture.
Lies of P is a soul-like game that takes the classic tale of Pinocchio and gives it a twist. The game is inspired by the Belle Époque era and is set in the city of Krat. The game was released on September 19, 2023.
This DLC has been anticipated for a long time since first being reportedly confirmed in 2023. Finally, this DLC was officially announced during the PlayStation State of Play event in February 2025. Here is everything we know about Lies of P: Overture.
When Is Lies of P: Overture Coming Out?
Though an exact date is unknown, we do know that the game is pointing toward a Summer 2025 release. Additionally, the base game will be needed to play this DLC.
This Summer 2025 release date could be anywhere from June to September of 2025. This release date will likely be confirmed as we get closer to the launch. While waiting, fans can perhaps start a fresh run of Lies of P and jump back into Krat.
What Platforms Will Lies of P: Overture Be Releasing On?
This DLC will be arriving on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, along with PlayStation 4 and 5. At the moment, it is unclear whether the DLC will be available on Xbox Game Pass. However, the base game, Lies of P, is still available on Game Pass at the time of writing. Therefore, you could easily jump in and try the base game to frame your expectations for this DLC.
Regarding a PlayStation Plus release, it seems unlikely. This is because the base game never appeared on the subscription service. However, this could easily change anytime in the future.
Lies of P: Overture Story Details
Just recently, a story trailer was also released regarding this DLC. This gave us a lot of insight into the new DLC. Firstly, we learned that the DLC would be acting as a prequel of sorts. This is due to an artifact that will transport Geppetto’s Puppet back in time.
The DLC will be set in a time before Krat faced its downfall. Therefore, this DLC will likely give us lots of lore regarding characters we have already known or heard about. Additionally, the Legendary Stalker Lea will also appear in the DLC. It will be interesting to see her motivations and actions while going forward in the DLC.
