Goro’s Heart is the 14th substory in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This substory is centred around the namesake of the Goro pirates, Goro himself. Noah’s pet tiger is a bizarre character, although by Like a Dragon standards, he’s downright normal. This substory, however, is strange even compared to other Like a Dragon substories.

Here is a complete guide on the Goro’s Heart substory in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

How To Start Goro’s Heart?

This substory can be started during Chapter 2. To unlock this substory, you will need to have completed the Symbol of the City, the Street Surfer. To start this substory, simply head to the Anaconda Harbor Park in Honolulu. When you approach the bench next to the lemonade stand, a cutscene will trigger.

The old lady sitting on the bench will offer Noah some fruits for him and Goro. However, Noah will be unsure which fruit Goro would prefer. Majima laments their inability to understand the tiger. At this point, a scientist named Russell will show up to lend his assistance.

How To Complete the Substory?

Russell will offer you a trial of a machine he is working on to translate the speech of animals. He will demonstrate its ability to prove that it isn’t a scam, although Majima will remain wary. After this, when you attempt to talk to Goro, the shenanigans begin.

Goro will be speaking in a suspiciously flirty manner. On top of this, his voice will be female. This makes Majima think that he may have accidentally misgendered Goro. After this, Goro will continue to drive the conversation to weirder and weirder ends before the device asks you to buy some water to quench Goro’s thirst. The options will range from regular water to expensive Luxury Champagne.

After this, you will again be asked to spend money, this time to replace the battery. After doing so and continuing the conversation, the battery will run out once more. But by now, Majima is fully enthralled and no longer able to resist.

Feel free to pick whichever options you wish in this conversation. The dialogue chosen has no bearing on the ending of the substory. Additionally, any money you spend will be reimbursed to you at the end. As the conversation reaches its most dangerous point yet, Noah will save the day. He spots Russell speaking into a walkie-talkie to pretend the machine is working.

After he is caught, he begs for forgiveness and explains that he truly wishes to make a device to speak to animals. However, obtaining funding was too difficult, forcing him to resort to scams. He returns all of the money he spends to you and promises to stop his scams. Majima will gain a new perspective on Goro’s needs, and Noah will say that he doesn’t need anything to understand Goro.

What Rewards Do You Get From This Substory?

After you complete this substory, you will get two rewards. Firstly, Dr. Russell will join your crew as a member to apologize for his scams. Secondly, he will also give you a Double Silver Ring, which boosts your stats. And with that, this substory will be complete.

That was the complete guide on Goro’s Heart in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
