These are the best overall settings to play Little Nightmares 3 at 4K resolution with GPUs with up to 10-12GB VRAM.

4K is a challenging resolution for most GPUs. Fortunately, for Little Nightmares 3, this can be achieved with any upper mid-range card. The game is incredibly well-optimized and runs smoothly on modern mid-range hardware. With the settings below, you can enjoy the game’s delightful storytelling aspects while getting the best image quality.
Note: The recommended GPU power starts at least an RTX 4070 Ti Super or an AMD RX 9070 XT and beyond.

Little Nightmares 3 – Best Settings To Play at 4K

Little Nightmares 3 has ghosting and shimmering issues. For starters, the game is built using the Unreal Engine 5 and has temporal stability issues, motion shimmering, and ghosting within the image.
At 4K resolution, the high pixel count significantly minimizes these issues, making the game look much better than on 1440p or 1080p. On Nvidia cards, adding DLAA ensures the DLSS upscaler has sufficient pixel data to thoroughly clean up the remaining image noise. For the best results, swap in DLSS 4 using DLSS Swapper and then play the game. This way, the transformer model cleans up the image instead of the CNN and delivers the best possible image quality.
However, not all cards share this same agenda. For AMD cards like the 7900 XT and above, we recommend using the latest XeSS version by running DLSS Swapper to enhance image quality.
Using FSR, temporal-based ones, such as FSR 3.1, won’t come close to what these new DLSS and XeSS AI-based upscalers do. Alternatively, you can swap in FSR4, but save yourself the hassle and use XeSS; it will perform nearly the same.
